The Cosafa Senior Challenge, which kicked off at Emalahleni Puma Stadium in Witbank this past weekend, saw thrilling action for soccer lovers in Mpumalanga.

On Saturday, July 19, islanders Madagascar were held to a 1-1 draw by Swaziland, coached by Ephraim Shakes Mashaba.

Elsewhere, Seychelles thumped Mauritius 7-0 with striker Phillip Zialor scoring four goals in the match.

The following day saw Malawi overcome a determined Lesotho to walkway with a solid goal victory. Meanwhile, Namibia, with midfielder Quinton Jacobs scoring two goals, thumped Comores 3-0 in a highly thrilling encounter.

More group matches will continue this week with the knockout clashes scheduled for Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27.

The South African development side, coached by Serame Letsoaka, will play their first match of the tournament when they meet the winners group A. The match was previously scheduled to kick-off at 15h00 has now been moved to 17h30, the organisers confirmed.

Tickets are available at Computickets at R10-00 for adults and R5 00 children.

Venues are: Emalahleni Puma Stadium, Witbank; Lilian Ngoyi Stadium, Secunda and semi-finals and finals of this prestigious tournament will take place at Thulamahashe Stadium.
