Ernst Middendorp Maritzburg United Bloemfontein Celtic

Maritzburg United have confirmed the resignation of coach Ernst Middendorp, paving the way for him to take over at Bloemfontein Celtic. broke news an hour ago that Celtic had approached the German to replace Clinton Larsen, who resigned on Monday in the wake of the 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Maritzburg claimed no knowledge of Middendorp’s proposed move to the Free State, but now a press release has confirmed the latest development.

“Ernst Middendorp has resigned from Maritzburg United Football Club. His agent Steven Kapeluschnik confirmed that after spending all together nearly three-and-a-half years at the club and being in charge of the team for approximately 100 games, he has decided that it is time for him to move on and look for new challenges in his career.

Middendorp said: “I would like to thank the Players, management and staff at Maritzburg United. I have enjoyed my time with the club and I wish them all the best in the future.”

Thou news re premature at this stage but I foresee as wise choice if indeed "" end there. I mentioned before Celtic is ambitious club with enormous reputation on our restore that respect this club need someone with vast experience as Middledorp pedigree.

what value is he gonna add at Celtics? My opinion is that the problem at Celtics is not a coach but a lack of quality players. Celtics should invest in quality players n balance that with talented youngsters.
