Chippa suspend former Mamelodi Sundowns Walter Maponyane

Posted: 1 October 2013 Time: 17:09

Chippa United have welcomed back defender Walter Maponyane, who was suspended by the club after he failed to attend training.

It is alleged that the former Mamelodi Sundowns player does not want to stay in Cape Town and tried to force a move away from the Chilli Boys.

“He started training with the club today because he was suspended for ill-discipline,” coach Mark Harrison tells KickOff.com.

“He decided that he doesn’t fancy staying in Cape Town but of course he can’t do that because he is contracted with the club, so we suspended him for a month and now he is back with the team.”
