Clifford Mulenga joins Mpumalanga Black Aces

Posted: 30 September 2013 Time: 21:58

Former SuperSport United midfielder Clifford Mulenga has signed a three-year-deal with Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Also joining the Zambian midfielder at Aces is SuperSport defender Danleigh Borman, who has signed a one-year-deal.

Mulenga tells KickOff.com the reason for him moving was due to his frustration at waiting for his permanent residency papers to get issued as he was unable to play due to SuperSport’s overseas player quota being full.

“I was waiting for my papers and it was taking a long time to get them. SuperSport had already indicated that they would allow me to leave in December so I decided that I might as well move to Aces now.

“Aces said that they had space for me at the club so I jumped at the opportunity to join them,” Mulenga says.

Good signing by Aces.

Aces was previously relegated from PSL after they failed to renew contracts for Clifford Mulenga and Mpho Makola, who were both adding a great value to the team.
