Simelela heading to Cosmos

Posted: 20 September 2013 Time: 12:17

Ex-national under-17 midfielder Happy Simelela is expected to start training with Jomo Cosmos on Monday following a year-long spell at Belgian second tier outfit KAS Eupen.

Simelela, who turns 19 next month, is a free agent and has spent the past few weeks training under former Zimbabwe international Butler Masango at an academy in Northcliff, Johannesburg.

"The boy is back in the country following his spell in Belgium and he will start training with Cosmos next week," says John Mphatso, who is helping the teenager find a club.

"He is a fine attacking midfielder who just needs to be given an opportunity to play."

Fellow South Africans Phakase Mngadi and Ntuthuko Radebe are still on the books of Eupen.

TshepisoMa - well, I'm a Cosmos fan like you but I think the question should be "Is Cosmos a good club for him"?. I do not think Cosmos is still a talent scouting club, we are simply a useless club. Let's face it, Cosmos is not even good enough in the NFD, walla!!! even nearly got relegated had the other teams played all their matches.
