SA soccer club Polokwane City sign four

Posted: 10 September 2013 Time: 19:25

Premiership new boys Polokwane City – struck by the reality of straight losses in their opening three games – have signed four new players.

Joining the club are former AmaZulu trio Prince Hlela, Luyanda Hlongwa and Kagiso Senamela, as well as ex-youth international central defender Thapelo Tshilo.

Tshilo spent the past season battling for game-time at Bidvest Wits, after signing in January.

All four join the club as free agents.

Polokwane have had a rude welcome to the Premiership, losing all three of their opening matches, forcing them immediately to go into the market for reinforcement to their squad, which was thin on experience. has confirmation from the club that all four players have signed, with Hlela and Hlongwa having signed one-year contracts.

The players had a brief assessment by the club before committing.

Weldone PLK City, but we really lost out on that Humphrey Khoza guy. He is good but the money he wanted was not worth his looks.

Welcome on-board Thapzelo Tshilo...tighten our defence. Prince is good, A former Celtic leftback who rejected Kaizer Chiefs peanuts and opted for Amazulu's spear and shield, lol.

I don't see PLK city in the PSL next season, they could have bought quality players earlier than now.

Its early days. Polokwane are not like Chippa. This team is real and understands the realities of PSl demands. They don't fire coaches but they beef up the squad. What would you do?
