Sundowns duo Baffour and Abubakar to stay in PSL

Posted: 26 August 2013 Time: 15:12

Mamelodi Sundowns’ duo Emmanuel Baffour and Mumuni Abubakar will no longer move overseas and look set to join PSL clubs instead.

The Ghanaian internationals were meant to head to Switzerland and Belgium-based outfits respectively but both deals fell through after all parties failed to agree on financial terms.

"The biggest problem here is that the two players are earning of a lot of money at Sundowns that small European clubs are refusing to pay," says a Sundowns official. "The players are refusing to take a pay cut and would rather stay at Sundowns.

"At the same time Sundowns is sick and tired of subsidising salaries of players who are on loan at other clubs. For example, we are paying salaries who are not playing for us – we can’t afford to pay salaries of all PSL players. That is not how things work. But we will see what happens in the four days but it looks like Mumuni and Baffour might move to other PSL clubs."

Baffour and Abubakar will not be registered by Sundowns this season due to the League's foreign quota.

Remember the KICK Off Fantasy League returns on Tuesday, be sure to make your team changes in time.

Hello Sundowns, why don't you just do what we know you for. Register them as locals. Buy them a R4m house at Blue Valley Estate plus their salary and voila: they qualify for permanent resident status.

Very stupid statement, this is simple, Signdowns must stop signing every overrated player in the media, its as simple as that. Some of us who could count we knew they have more foreigners than it is allowed but they went on to sign Billiat...whats wrong with these foreigners, why didnt you use them instead of signing Billiat??? If they are not as good as billiat then why on earth are they paid salaries that even overseas teams wont afford????

Its how it work at signflops. As long as motsepe throws money at everything, it will always work like that. So the simple thing to do is , STOP signing! Yerrrrr ! And some were counting their chickens before they even hatched. Whos going overseas now and does going overseas mean anything nowadays, if going there means same or less pay? Signflops moegoes must stop bragging about silly things that almost never happens. Mxm , amatuks can have them cause signflops will pay their salaries. WHITE RED AND BLACK, TILL SUNDOMS GETS CLEVER!

Your questions should be directed to Zola Doda, he is lying, that is why he use words like " says a Sundowns official. " why cant he name that official, that he spoke to? He is just as angry as you are that his team lost 1-0 to Pirates.
