Platinum Stars coach Allan Freese says he is still assessing former Bloemfontein Celtic striker Siyabonga Nontshinga and is likely to decide on him this week.

Nontshinga arrived at Dikwena for trials on August 11 and hopes to secure a contract with the Rustenburg-based outfit.

“We are still assessing the player and we have not yet made a decision on him,” Freese tells KickOff.com.

“We have been using the player in some combinations during training and we should make a decision in the next four days.

“We have been training for our MTN8 match against Wits and he has been part of the training drills,” Freese adds.

Besides Celtic, Nontshinga has had stints at Nathi Lions, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Bay United and Jomo Cosmos.

How many chances does this guy need to prove himself? He's played for Cosmos,Celtics,Black Aces & Bafana but I've never seen him score a goal.
