Paul Koulibaly to join Orlando Pirates this week

Posted: 13 August 2013 Time: 12:22

Orlando Pirates are expected to conclude their deal with Paul Koulibaly when Burkina Faso arrive in the country to face Bafana Bafana in an international friendly at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The 27-year-old defender is a free agent after leaving Iraqi club Al Shorta, and while he has ‘agreed in principle’ to join Pirates, nothing has been signed yet.

“Pirates wanted him to come earlier with the hope of registering him for the CAF Champions League, but he needed to honour his contract in Iraq,” the player’s agent, Dennis Idrissa, tells KickOff.com.

“He is arriving with the Barkina Faso national team and is hoping to conclude the deal at the weekend.”

Ha ha signing rejects from Iraq. Editor, Goal.com reported that the player signed for TP Mazembe two weeks back. Is he still signing for Pie rats. If he is now a free agent when did his contract come to an end. Again a player is allowed to sign with any team on his final 6 months of his contract how come he didnt do so. Pie rats is broke, get that into your thick skull editor.

Now, this is a centre back. This man with Rooi in central defence. Siya can stay injured. LLL will be our muti man on the bench. I want to see Gcaba at leftback. He was back as a left back, he must fight it out with Matlaba and Phungwayo.
