Mthombeni impressed Amakhosi head coach Muhsin Ertugral and he has already asked management, led by Bobby Motaung, to bring him to Naturena next season.
Speaking to KickOff.com, the 20-year-old defender says Chiefs have promised to call him back after the First Division play-offs as he had impressed them during his recent trials.
“I spent two weeks training with Chiefs after my agent organised the trial. They told me that I did well and that they would call after the play-offs.”
Mthombeni tells KickOff.com that he is eager to wear the famous gold and black jersey next season.
“This is what I am dreaming of now, my heart is really at playing in the PSL next season,” he adds.

If u knew atleast one Chiefs player personally, u would know that Chiefs pays Bonuses to players consistently and it is done proffessionaly. Just because they dont run to the media does not mean they dont pay...why do u think players still want to play for Chiefs? Broadcasting players finances is both morally wrong and indispecable marketing ploy of some teams i know.
