Belgian Jupiler side KV Oostende are ‘so, so happy' with Nyasha Mushekwi that they have offered the goal poacher a four-year deal.
The Mamelodi Sundowns marksman impressed the Belgians during a trial at the club recently and according to the player's agent Ralph Nkomo, Oostende are doing everything in their power to land the marksman.
However, Nkomo sees a bright future for Mushekwi in Europe that he is looking at a shorter contract with a possibility of a big move in the future.
"Yes, that's true and we are studying the contract. The thing is we want to see how he does for the first two seasons (in Belgium) so we don't want to tie him down to a long contract," Nkomo tells KickOff.com.
"Don't forget he is 25, soon to be 26 (born 21 August 1987), so you don't want to tie him down to a contract until he is 30. So we are studying the contract carefully, but the team is so, so happy with him," he says.
The next step is for a club-to-club agreement and Oostende have asked Nkomo to facilitate a smooth process during negotiations.
"They have asked me to make sure that there are no glitches in their discussions with Sundowns, so I will go find out from Sundowns what they are expecting and report back to Oostende.
"They want to make sure that by Tuesday next week he has his work permit – that's how quick they want to move," Nkomo adds.
