Kaizer Chiefs loan Lincoln Zvasiya to Greek club OFI Crete FC

Posted: 5 July 2013 Time: 16:37

Kaizer Chiefs defender Lincoln Zvasiya has joined OFI Crete FC in Greece on a one-year loan deal.

The Zimbabwean international joined Chiefs in 2011, but did not see much on-field action last season.

He has two years left in his contract.

“Lincoln is a top player. We looked at the team and thought it would be best for him to get game-time at another club,” Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung explains on the club’s official website.

“We will continually monitor the situation and determine the way forward. It is also good for him to gain experience in a different country. He is still young and it is good for his growth and development as a player.”

Motaung adds that by loaning Zvayisa to the Greek side, Chiefs are also expanding their international network.

“And as a club we are spreading our wings in terms of creating relationships both nationally and internationally. OFI Crete FC was professional in the way they advanced their proposal and we looked at it and we found that the deal made sense for everyone.

“It is Kaizer Chiefs policy to open up opportunities for the players especially when those opportunities will grow and develop the players.”

I read waiting to come across what division this Greek side plays in....

Is this now Kaizer Chiefs' international relations policy since being rejected by the big boys Manchester United...? Yea...? Creating links with some obscure team that players in the dire rural areas of where the Pathenon stands...?

Ok, let say you put Yeye at the back, bring Matoho on the right and put Lucky Baloyi on the left. Take that picture and and paste it in your sugar container, huh no child will play next to that sugar.

Ok let us simplify this. Now let us hide the bodies and leave the heads only. Put a bet at the back, a gorilla face on the left, a chimpanzee head on the right. Ask people to spot the difference. It will take the whole decade to even spot this yellow teeth of Katsande.

Since relegation OFI crete FC has gone into 'meltdown'. Once the season had ended the majority of the clubs senior players filed claims against club President Fanouris Vatsinas for hundreds of thousands of Euros in unpaid wages. As the non payment of wages was also a breach of contract many of them also freed themselves from their Professional contracts with the club and sought new teams for the forthcoming season.

Club President Vatsinas resigned
