African Warriors’ chairman Jabu Khumalo has died

Posted: 16 May 2013 Time: 10:21

First Division club African Warriors’ chairman Jabu Khumalo has died.

The club has confirmed that Khumalo passed away yesterday at Medi-Clinic Hoogland in Bethlehem.

Khumalo had been admitted to the hospital on Monday, having been not feeling well for some time, which had forced him to not even attend his team’s recent games.

Warriors have been in the First Division since 2007 when they won promotion

Prior to being a club owner Khumalo had worked at Free State Stars.

He was also active in the leadership structures of the PSL where he was a member of several sub-committees, including NFD Committee, NFD Ad Hoc Committee, Competitions and Compliance Committee.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
