In-demand Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao says the talk linking him to Manchester United is just speculation.
The 27-year-old has been linked to Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid, but reports from Spain suggest Manchester United are leading the race to sign him, and rumour has it they have put down a deposit for his services.
Goal.com have revealed that Falcao’s representatives indicated they would “want him to become England's highest-paid player”, should he make the move to the Premier League.
The player, however, tells native radio station RCN that he is unaware of talks between Atletico and United.
"In recent weeks I have tried to isolate myself and not think about the rumours about my future,” he says.
"I do not really know where that information has come from [joining Manchester United], that is part of the press. I'm only focused on Atletico Madrid. I do not let the market rumours affect my performance."
