Chippa United fire Wilfred Mugeyi as head coach

Chippa United have fired their fifth coach of the season, with Wilfred Mugeyi the latest to be kicked to the curb.
The Chilli Boys have been on a woeful run of form that has them seven points from safety in the Premiership.
Mugeyi was appointed in February and has overseen just one victory – against Black Leopards. They also suffered a humiliating Nedbank Cup defeat to United FC.
After skyrocketing his team straight to the Premiership – Chippa are the first club ever to win back-to-back promotions – owner Chippa Mpengesi has come under heavy criticism from fans for changing coaches as often as he changes his socks.
Roger Sikhakhane was first to go, just after the team was promoted. Manqoba Mngqithi was next, after just four matches, after which assistant coach Julius Dube took over. Farouk Abrahams was appointed in December, and then fired at the end of January.
Sikhakhane has since returned for a third time, this time as technical director.
