AmaZulu case still ongoing

AmaZulu vs Tembu Royals Nedbank Cup case still ongoing

Posted: 15 March 2013 Time: 12:13 pm

KickOff.com can confirm that the matter between AmaZulu and Second Division outfit Tembu Royals is still before the arbitrator.

AmaZulu are contesting the eligibility of Tembu Royals player Zukisa Ginya who played against them during the Nedbank Cup last 32 fixture on February 27.

On Thursday, the Arbitrator postponed the matter to Friday morning at 9am and, according to Usuthu spokesperson Philani Mabaso, the club has yet to be informed of any outcome three hours after the case resumed.

“It is of a serious nature and the fact that the arbitrator postponed it yesterday means it is not an easy case,” he says.

The PSL has referred the matter directly to Safa Arbitration as per the Rules of the League.

Meanwhile, Maritzburg United were due to arrive in Mthatha on Friday ahead of their Sunday clash against Tembu Royals in the Nedbank Cup last 16 clash, but will have to wait for the outcome of the case to know if the match will go on.

Amazulu do not deserve to play in PSL, imagine they want to go through via SAFA arbitration, they lost against second division team atlist if it was under 23 then one player is over age i would understand. My prayer is for them to be relegated nxaaa.

i comend amazulu for bringing this forward, the team must ignore the insults that will follow calling them sour loser. this had to b reported, it's starts small as petty dishonesty and before u know it, it manifests into full blown corruption in football. as south africans we must not b hypocrits we were demanding for corruption to be uprooted in soccer after the embarassing safa match-fixing drama so lets supports amazulu here. its a matter of principle and not self-gain for amazulu, this is now a national issue and not about these 2 tema and it will unearth a lot of similar deeds being practices especially at amateur levels.

AmaZulu lost, they were outplayed, outsmarted, outran, etc...they are pathetic, hopeless and should be relegated, they just want to prolong things unnecessarily...these palookas lost, PERIOD, Tembu Royals didnt field 15 players, the situation would have remained the same even if the player in question was properly registered

I still don't understand why Pierats did not go the same route, am sure they'd find a few loose ends had Irvin used his toothlessness to sniff around, and the game would have been ''won'' on arbitration t see the victims of Maluti FET Sunday School go through......

You're out of point here bro, this is not about ethnicity, but soccer clubs and the rules & regulation of the tournament/the game. I hate to say this, but if AmaZulu have indeed tangible evidence and concrete proof, they are within their right to protest the result, and ensure the PSL is a respectable league which no ''thatha-machance'' can cheat.
