African champions Nigeria will meet the champions of North and Central America, Mexico in a high-profile international friendly match in Houston, Texas on May 31.

“The Nigeria Football Federation and its match agent, Eurodata Sport Marketing Sportivo e Culturale, are pleased to announce that the Super Eagles will play against Mexico’s Senior Team in a friendly match at the Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas on May 31, starting from 21h00 Texas time,” NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu said on Wednesday.

He added: “We are pleased that the reigning African champions will have such high-quality final preparation for the important games that we have in the month of June.”

The Super Eagles, currently top of their 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying group, take on Kenya’s Harambee Stars in Nairobi on June 8 before travelling to the Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil. Then, another Fifa World Cup qualifying date against Namibia’s Brave Warriors awaits in Windhoek.

In Brazil, the Eagles play against Tahiti, Uruguay and World and European champions Spain while the Mexicans clash with host Brazil, Italy and Japan in Group A.

The match in Texas will be the third of a five-match American tour for the Mexicans, who also face daunting dates in Concacaf's 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying race in June.

The last time both countries met was in a battling friendly inside the Estadio Olimpico Benito Juarez in Chihuahua, Mexico in October 2007 – it ended 2-2.

Jipas, you are right. I hope both countries can find a drug to rescue 99 % of south Africans living with HIV/AIDS, a drug to rescue south African women from being killed by their lovers(as pistorous). And a drug to rescue all south Africans from being destroyed by their own police.

Drugs are sold where the 99% of the inhabitants are drug users. South Africa where everybody behave the same.

Yes Anonymous you're right. A drug to bring political, economic and social stability in Nigeria so that you stay in your country and stop being a menace and nuisance to the world. A drug to love yourselves. You're such a disgrace, a waste of oxygen. You contribute nothing to the human race but anarchy and disaster. Look the world over and tell me where you're welcome. One last advice maybe if you can stop envying South Africa you can learn a thing or two from us.

What so big about Mexican team?Mexico that couldn't defeat Jamaica couple weeks ago.Are we really following all these teams?Who is in charge of this?If we are going to play spain and Uruguay on June, this May 31 friendly should be with Colombia.Colombia is a football power house now in Latin America and they are dangerous now like their 94 squad of Escobar.

NFF,Didn't y'all see what Colombia did to Brazil?.You NFF are always go for a low hanging fruit just to make your selves look good. You and Keshi always scared to be disgraced by a strong team.Keshi team has not pull shoulders with any strong team since he took over like we saw Siasia and Argentina.Na waooo Nigeria.

POVERTY TRACK RECORD FOR NIGERIA.
Recently American rapper shot a video of poverty in the SLUM OF LAGOS called Makoko. He showed videos of Nigerians kids who sell water for a living and begging for money. He finishes his song by saying \"THESE NIGGAZ CAN'T HOLD ME BACK\". Most black Americans know these are the same people who sold other Africans to Europeans today theyr selling drugs. Selling has been there in Naija. Ross kisses his American flag with pride because his forefathers built America (WORKED AS SLAVES BUILT AMERICAN AGRICULTURE). In the 18th century they fed America and built alot of things.

80% Nigerians live under $2 a day.
Nigeria's population in poverty (70% live below $1 a day)

1980: 17.1 million
1985: 34.7 million
1992: 39.2 million
1996: 67.1 million
2004: 68.7 million
2010: 112.47 million

Then we shift slightly to HIV AIDS. Everyone in the world knows Nigeria are ranked second after RSA then India. Research made by UCT medicine school shows that NIGERIA AND INDIA will overtake SA in AIDS stats by 2015, as AIDS is on the increase in these countries. Nigeria as we speak isn't far from SA in AIDS. I'm fetching the SOURCE HANG IN THERE:)

THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS DOWNPLAYED BY NIGERIANS LIKE THEIR POVERTY.
20% of their population who make middle class make noise on the internet while 80% of them live less than $1 thats about R10 in South Africa($ in SA buys a loaf of bread).

The Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN)
5 Million Nigerians Live with HIV

The Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN) has estimated the number of people living with Human Immune Virus (HIV) in Nigeria at slightly lower than five million, with the South-south region having the highest prevalence. It says about 850,000 of this figure with compromised immunity needs treatment, while about 300,000 are presently on the treatment. The head of the Institute, Dr. Patrick Dakum, disclosed these facts in Jos during the Institute’s one-day orientation program with Medical Directors and Programme Coordinators of General Hospitals and Tertiary Health Centers in the North Central Region. He also noted that about 56,000 children who are born with the infection at present live with it in Nigeria, blaming the present prevalence level on lack of basic facilities and infrastructure at the Primary Health Care Centers. According to him, the national prevalence rate of the virus is 4.6 percent. He however added that the Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Health is working hard in collaboration with various other organizations such as USAID and NACA to upgrade the facilities at such health care centers. Such upgrading with emphasis on screening, he noted, would bring a marked improvement on delivery to victims.

Ohh hey we dont have time we shift to HOUSING. We still have to discuss roads, electricity and many more. Note even low income areas in SA have tar roads, unlike suburbs of Port harcourt,Abuja,Enugu etc..where people live in mansions while driving on dusty streets.

WE STILL HAVE TO TALK ABOUT SOUTH AFRICA COMPANIES COLONISING AFRICA AND ECEONOMICS. Yes some mud mentioned an old projection that showed that Naija will overtake SA, if projections were anything to go by Zimbabwe,Ivory Coast etc..were supose to be up there. In the 80s these were one of the countries that were projected to be up there in Africa. Today theyr nt. To that mud note projections that were made didnt mention the RECENT OIL DISCOVERIES. Namibia discovered 16 billion barrels in 2011 then realised they have more up to 50 BILLION BARRELS. By 2015 Nigeria will no longer be powerhouse in oil production in sub sahara Africa. Note SAs Atlantic and Indian ocean have got oil also. AS USUAL I WILL COPY AND PASTE THE SOURCE. I like giving things from the horses mouth.

Nigeria: 11 million Nigerian children out of school

The Punch (Nigeria) / Thursday, 04 Feb 2009
The Minister of Education, Dr. Igwe Aja-Nwachuku, on Wednesday said that it was lamentable that 11 million children of school age were still roaming the streets in the country.

Aja-Nwachuku stated this at a press conference where he inaugurated the 2008 Education for All Week with the theme “Quality education to end exclusion.” In April 2000, Nigeria joined over 170 countries that met in Dakar, Senegal to reaffirm their commitment to deliver Education for All by 2015. The minister said that the 11million children were part of over 80 million children worldwide who were out of school.
