Nigeria international forward Kalu Uche was expectedly amongst the goal scorers as Kasimpasa beat Trabzonspor 2-0 in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday evening.
Uche struck for Kasimpasa in the 44th minute as he converted a right wing cross with the outside of his right foot to extend the advantage for the home side after Tabare Viudez had put Kasimpasa ahead seven minutes earlier.
The 30-year-old has now scored 14 goals in 24 games, and is the joint top scorer in the Super Lig along with Galasatary's Burak Yilmaz.
The win lifted Kasimpasa up to sixth place, just a point of fourth placed Bursaspor who occupy the final European berth.
The consist form of Uche this has ironically failed to attract the attention of Nigeria's national team selectors.

Please invite Kalu Uche to fight for that second striker role with Ideye. Since his performance at World Cup 2010, I have been very impressed with him. Play him as a striker, he is NOT a midfielder. Even at 30, he is in form and can change a game in an instant. Also invite Anichebe just in case Emenike is not ready and Oduamadi instead of Uzoenyi . Slyman
During South Africa 2010 World Cup, Ike Uche had just come back from a lengthy injury and he was not chosen for the World Cup although he was the leading goal scorer during the qualifiers. His elder brother Kalu Uche was chosen and he ended being Nigeria's best outfield player in the World Cup after scoring two goals from the midfield.
At the 2013 Afcon in South Africa, Keshi ignored Kalu Uche despite the fact that Kalu scored the first goal for Keshi in his current reign as Eagles coach in a 2-0 victory over Zambia in November 2011. Infact, since that game, Keshi has not invited Kalu Uche. Ike Uche also did very well in the qualifiers and was the leading goal getter. He was justly picked for Afcon 2013, where he had a poor performance.
While Ike Uche has always played as a striker, Kalu has always been played as an attacking midfielder. Kalu Uche now, is a very deadly striker that wears the 9 jersey for Kasimpasa of Turkey, he is not a midfielder. He only needs a chance to prove his worth to the technical crew. Slyman
2010 World Cup Kalu Uche
2013 Afcon Cup Ike Uche
The Kalu Uche used by Keshi is actually Uche Kalu..., former Eyimba and now playing in 2nd tier Turkish League... He was decamped prior to AFCON 2013...
Wether Kalu Uche played agaist Zambia in Kaduna is something entirely different... But Keshi had always played Uche Kalu not Ike's brother...
There are three Uches now available for Nigeria...
1. Uche Kalu
2. Ike Uche, and
3. Kalu Uche
And Keshi had used the dark slim Kalu more than Ike's brother...
