Kano Pillars and Enugu Rangers have advanced to the first round of the CAF Champions League.
Pillars held Olympic Real de Bangui of Central African Republic to a goalless draw at the weekend to advance 5-1 on aggregate, while Rangers advanced courtesy of their walkover against Sporting Principe of Sao Tome and Principe a fortnight ago.
Rangers will now face Vital'O FC of Burundi in the next round while Nigerian champions Kano Pillars will play against AC Leopards of Congo Brazzaville in a fortnight.
AC Leopards are the current CAF Confederations Cup holders. The Dolise based club knocked Heartland FC out of the Confederations Cup in the third round last season.
