ABS FC went into closed camping at Lokoja yesterday in a bid to step up their preparation for the new NPFL season.
But the club that are largely regarded as the most entertaining team in the Nigerian League did not get the result they would have hoped for as they were beaten 2-0 by a local side, Lokoja FC in their first friendly game on thursday morning.
A brace from Kanu Idakwo helped the NNWL (third division) club ease past their more illustrous opponents.
The Saraki Boys lost both of their two-legged friendly against Shooting Stars earlier in the year, and recently lost 4-1 to Sunshine Stars in Akure.
Coach Kabiru Dogo will be looking to improve the form of the only privately-owned club in the NPFL, ahead of their league opener against city rivals Kwara United on March 9, at the Ilorin Stadium Complex.
