Posted: 23 February 2013 Time: 18:03

Lucky Khune scored in extra time to hand United FC a 3-2 win over Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup.

First Division United FC were the second lower division side to oust a Premiership club in this year’s Nedbank Cup, after Orlando Pirates were beaten 4-1 by Vodacom League side Maluti FET College.

Tshwarelo Bereng opened the scoring for United FC in the sixth minute.

Chippa equalised just two minutes later, through Mfundo Shumana.

Siyabulela Shai – son of former Mamelodi Sundowns great Isaac Shai – then put United FC ahead again on 59 minutes.

But just nine minutes later Chippa were level again, through Buyani Sali.

The match went into extra time, where former Kaizer Chiefs forward Lucky Khune – the younger brother of Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, bagged the winner on 113 minutes.
