Andile Jali suspended for Nedbank Cup clash against Maluti FET College

Posted: 21 February 2013 Time: 14:34

Orlando Pirates midfielder Andile Jali will sit out the Nedbank Cup clash against Maluti FET College on Saturday after he was booked against Platinum Stars on Wednesday.

Head coach Roger de Sa confirmed today that Jali won’t take part when Bucs meet the minnows at Charles Mopeli Stadium. “Andile has four yellow cards so he is out,” he confirms.

The former Bidvest Wits mentor further explained why it hasn’t been difficult for the team to focus on all three competitions at the moment – the CAF Champions League, Nedbank Cup and the League – and added that he is taking a strong squad to face Maluti.

“It makes no difference. Every game we play we wanna win so it is just the opposition that changes and that’s about it really. It is not that difficult because the players know that it is about winning every game. So it is not that difficult at all.

“We will take a strong enough team so we can go to the next round.”

No problem AJ-15 can relax, Tortoises FC would be panicking if one of their players were to be dropped cause they have a history with these small teams. Is Baroka back how I would love to see them silencing our beloved neighbours once again

At your Jali mfana. you're already showing lots of experience. i saw the way you got the yellow card. And that was a good move. We need you up and running in Africa and the League.

guys, I'd love to go to this game on saturday. But I am short on petrol money.
I hardly ever miss the Ghost's games. The only games I have never made an effort to attend are the ones played ko Cape Town (lol, oviaasly I can't drive there nor even fly) and somewhere ko Eastern/Northern Cape. More so, I'm always ko Orldando & I was so excited about the Dikwena's strangling that I forgot to ask the fellow 'choir membas' at the stands if they were going.
So if any ghost membas from around Joburg (Oliven, Soweto, Centurion and maybe PTA) are set to go to Free State, Pls could I ask that I be included. oviass ngyacabanga ukuthi kuyagazadwa.

Not a worry at all because we have DEPTH.

Bibo can step up.

Tico can shine up.

Makola is can be counted also.

Even if he can throw Yambi Yambi and allow Bibo to do the dirty job while Ace sits out for the match. In fact we must go for an all out attack because we are playing bibos (though mindful of the upset they can cause given their history against our noisy neighbours).

So overall we have a formidable team and players who can come in and do the job. Gcaba proved on Wednesday.

Depth is what we have. These yellow cards help our rotational system quite properly. The Lion King. Best midfielder in the country.
