Takesure Chinyama scores four for Orlando Pirates

Takesure Chinyama netted four goals as Orlando Pirates thumped Djabal 5-0 in their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie at Orlando Stadium.

The Buccaneers, knocked out of the competition at the same stage last year, made certain of no repeat against the side from Comoros.

Despite the hefty scoreline, the visitors were unlucky not to take the lead when a free-kick looked to have crossed the line.

It got worse when their goalkeeper had to be stretched off in the first half, meaning an outfield player had to fill the breach.

The problem showed as Sifiso Myeni struck home from the edge of the area, before Chinyama tapped home on 30 minutes from Patrick Phungwayo’s cross.

The Zimbabwean had the ball in the back of the net again just before the break, but it ruled out for offside.

There was to be no repeat on 55 minutes when Chinyama buried Daine Klate’s header to make the score 3-0, and 10 minutes later he had his hat-trick when he tapped home after Thabo Matlaba’s shot had hit the woodwork.

Twenty minutes from time it was 5-0 as Ndumiso Mabena set up Chinyama for his fourth and a fifth for Bucs, all but securing their place in the next round.

They should have scored more goals against a team which was using an infield player as a goalkeeper. Chiefs is back on top of the log.

What a useless opposition...

We are not capitalizing on corners this season... it's a worrying factor... hopefully we've kept this as a weapon as games get tighter in the season.... I supposed it takes a very strong team to make champions of another nation look useless....

Did anyone see Ntsunda's goal?

Tonight we were busy playing Champions League Football. Let me be the first to point out the obvious:

Only Champions have the right to make comments on this article.

It is not called the Champions League for nothing.

Only good team can score 6. Small and weak teams can manage 5 against a team that have no keeper. Anyway Chisanyama learned so quick from his role model parker to score goals, congrads mnyamana.

I am worried. I won't celebrate this win. We had numerous opportunities to score and we squandered them. Bad refereeing (apart from Daniel Bennet) also cost us. How Ntsunda was offside on the goal he scored on the stroke of half time is beyond my comprehension.

Nonetheless, we should've created more clear cut chances and also capitalized from them.

Andile Jali is amazing. I become speechless when I watch this young lad doing his thing.

I also want to applaud the professionalism with which we handled this game. Many teams could've gotten carried away with that score line, but we remained focus and kept on piling players forward.

Rudolf Bester needs to up his socks and prove to The Ghost that he has what it takes to represent us. Tonight he was not convincing at all.

Ndumiso Mabena. For the first time ever, I did not complain when this cow was introduced. He also did not show me much, but there's something about him which RDS sees, and I will wait until he unleashes that potential...if ever it will be unleashed.

I am having a headache myself regarding Phungwayo, Jele and Matlaba. Who are our first choices at left and right back? I don't know. All of these boys know how to play. Phungwayo impressed me so much. It doesn't really matter who plays. They will all perform.

Hhe Champions....?! I have never seen this before... is this an admission from the Cross-Dressers...?

I mean their team was playing across the road at the same time but we had to give a couple of them some warm klaps so they could f'ck off...

What is this...? They'd rather be at one of the 7 Wonders of the world instead of Concert City..?
What does this say about their their team...?
