Moroka Swallows' Malian striker Cheick Cisse is confident that his country is going to beat Nigeria

Moroka Swallows' Malian striker Cheick Cisse is confident that his country is going to beat Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final at Moses Mabhida Stadium today.

Mali qualified for the semis after beating South Africa 3-1 thanks to a penalty shoot-out last weekend while Nigeria defeated Ivory Coast 2-1 in their quarter-final.

The Mali coach Patrice Carteron says they will go into the match against Nigeria as underdogs and Cisse believes that this will suit his countrymen as they won't be under the same pressure to win as the Super Eagles.

"I don't remember the last time we beat Nigeria and also they have our former coach Stephen Keshi in charge which makes the game more difficult for us.

"But this is football and anything is possible. I spoke to some of the Mali guys and what I picked up is that the spirit in the camp is high and there is more determination to win than against Bafana.

"I am confident that we will get the victory against Nigeria in Durban tonight," Cisse adds.

The Mali team will be boosted by trying to bring a smile to the faces of their countrymen after all the political conflict in recent months.

"The situation is improving back home. Winning the trophy will definitely bring lot of happiness to people back in Mali," Cisse adds.

ℓєт'ѕ leave the talk for Mali....Opponents always do the talking, all Nigeria could do is win. Super Eagle will rate you higher and make you feel special before they downgrade you on the pitch, football isn't play by mouth or by wish.
