Wome eyes Europe

Free State Stars midfielder Dove Wome says he hopes a European team will come knocking on his door

Free State Stars midfielder Dove Wome says he hopes a European team will come knocking on his door after he featured for Togo during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Wome was on the score sheet in a Group D match when Togo beat Algeria 2-0 on January 26 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium and though the 21-year-old failed to start a match for Sparrow Hawks, he hopes his off the bench appearances would have been enough to attract scouts.

"I'm happy at Free State Stars, but I will obviously be happy to get an opportunity to play in Europe," he tells KickOff.com. "It is not clear what will happen, but I hope something will come up," he adds.

The Togolese international joined Ea Lla Koto at the beginning of the 2011/12 season from Ghanaian side Liberty Professionals.

He made 28 starts in all competitions during his first season in South Africa and scored six goals.
