Gould back for Chiefs draw

Morgan Gould returns from injury in Kaizer Chiefs friendly draw with Premiero de Agosto

Posted: 6 February 2013 Time: 09:25 am

Morgan Gould made a return to the pitch as Kaizer Chiefs drew 1-1 with Angolan Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto in a friendly match at Naturena yesterday.

Primeiro de Agosto are currently second on the Angolan Championship table, and are preparing for their CAF Champions League campaign.

Keegan Ritchie opened the scoring in the first half with a fantastic free-kick, and Siyabonga Nkosi, Kingston Nkhatha and Sthembiso Ngcobo all had chances on goal.

Mulomowandau Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Kgotso Moleko and Gould – who came on as a substitute – acquitted themselves well, but the visitors forced a draw in the second half.

Gould has been out for months after an operation on his Achilles tendon. The Bafana Bafana defender made a couple of appearances in the reserve league recently, and Amakhosi fans will be relieved as he moves closer to full fitness.

Stuart Baxter also called on George Lebese and Mandla Masango, and is reportedly pleased with his team’s performance.

Pirates don’t score goals
Pirates top goal scorers are defenders
The first treble was a fake
Bafunny x 2 is dominated by Chiefs players
They talk about drought,
Pirates players are not educated

Pirates can still win the treble, (include champs league)
Every Pirates player wants a goal under his name (unlike Mr Muscle man Sende or Yende????)
How it feels like to be called a champ
We are the Champs they are the Chimps
Pirates players monthly salary is twice your annual packages
Soccer is a profession, All the Pirates players are professional footballer

The sad part about Gould's return is that General Svasiya is going to bewitch either Mathoho or Tefu so that he can forever be an automatic backup to our centeral defence.
