Furman was undoutedly one of Bafana Bafana’s players of the tournament, and was awarded the man of the match award after the team’s 2-2 draw with Morocco in the group stages.
“Take nothing away from ‘Deano’, but his performances in South Africa exceeded our expectations,” Kleinman tells MTNFooball.com.
“He was really fantastic throughout the Africa Nations Cup and no doubt he has made many people take notice. It’s his off the field character as well as what he did on the field that has always made him a valuable footballer and we’re excited about the future.”
Furman tweeted before leaving for England at the weekend: “To the support of South Africa and Bafana Bafana: Thank you! You have been incredible. An experience I will never forget.
“Hurting both emotionally and physically this morning. We gave everything out there. We will pick ourselves up though and come back stronger.
“Flight back to London now! See you soon South Africa.”
Kleinman says Oldham are aware of interest in Furman, but admits there are no concrete offers at the moment.
“Look, there has been interest in Dean from clubs in the Championship and in League One, but interest is one thing and it is another when there is actually something on the table,” Kleinman says.
“Dean has a very important game coming up when his club Oldham host Everton in the FA Cup so Dean is focused on this right now.
“He is also contracted until the end of the season and his commitment is to his club Oldham.”

You're a proudly South African,
You think French teams can be fooled by a lousy perfomance in the AFCON???
Interest in Nyawana also grew after that goal and was invited for that trial and as soon as the dust ssettled the interest diminished
The only player who managed to score a penalty........................if it was allowed he would have taken all 5 of them.............

These are same news we heard after the world cup about Simphiwe Tshabalala and Itumeleng Khune, with the former failing trials in the second division of english football.
Everton will boot Oldham out of the FA Cup, and Oldham will be back to reality, fighting relegation.
After Simphiwe Tshabalala, Dean Furman is the most over rated player I know
