Orlando Pirates development player Tshepo Liphoko is set for a loan move to Golden Arrows.
Liphoko, who is a midfielder, was expected to be promoted to Pirates’ first team together with Nhlakanipho Ntuli and the latter has since been moved up, but Liphoko could be spending the rest of the season with Abafana Bes’thende.
The former Under-17 national team skipper, who was until recently linked with Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk, will sign a six-month loan deal with Arrows.
“Genk will have him for trials after this six months,” a source tells KickOff.com.

Right now we have a fixture against Matuli or Maluti ABET school boys but you going to see us playing them with the same lineup that we will be using in the CAF Champions league final against Al Ahly.
If Chiefs had used their development players[even though we all know it was closed coz the yougest was 27] against Baroka, maybe they wouldn't be in this shame they are in right now.
Maybe Jimmy Tau and prrppppprrrrppprrrrrrrr wouldn't be synonimous.
MANDLA MASENDE WILL FOREVER BE PROMISING
I had a meeting with Njenje and RDS about all my dissapointments and frustration at the way we want to do things these days. We used to have the likes abo DukuDuku, Continental, Cheese, Tso, and the likes and our job as development scouting team was evident.
Now we keep on buying while we have the best talent.
In the past just name a few players we had aboSteve Lekoelea (15 yrs) , Bradley Carnell(15 yr) , Aaron Mokoena(17yr), Steven Pienaar(18yr), Thabo Mooiki(18yr) Thabang Lebese(18 yr), Dududuku Makhanya(18yr) and Jabu Pule(19yr) .
This was possible because we had coaches who believe in youngsters, now our current PSL coaches all they do is move these youngsters to NFD teams, struggling teams, he comes back then loan him again.
This is not really helping our youth at all.....this is just rubbish and Kaizer,Khoza,Motsepe and all leaders should be coming up with a system and make it compulsory for all PSL teams/coaches to feature atlease 2 U/20 players in their games . Even if the youngster is coming in for 5mins , that 5mins will motivate him to do more and that will motivate him.
Liphoko plays in the middlefield, how old is Jali,Ace,Bibo even Ngobeni a good player could not keep up. Look at how Cyril Mashigo is so brilliant but its difficult, where is Mxoyane n Zulu.
My champ, The Iron Duke knows what he is doing. This is what we call strategic placements.
The NFD n Vodacom is full of young players, how competitive is the game at that level, what is the rate of players recruited to the more senior league.
We develop stars ain't alcoholics turning motivational speakers 'cos of lack of income and sane brains.
This guys will take ze Belgian League by storm then Europe.
European teams have realised that
That is why we are the ONLY PSL team to be represented at the Man U youth Cup season after Season
We have an effective development model
Our Products continue to swell the National teams
Our Products are an envy of other PSL teams
Melaitie it is more difficult to break into a Barcelona line-up, ManU line-up, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid, Bayern but you always see their development players given a chance gradually until they develop into great players.
A big team like Pirates should value the Championship more than the PSL cup competitions. I mean whats the use of playing the likes abo Bibo, Jali, Ace, Tico against Maluti school boys in a Nedbank cup instead of the likes abo Lipho.
No my Champ, i am against all these things. We are killing development of our players. Jack Wilshere just like Jali is a young man but a senior players but was rested in the FA cup to give chance to others.
Thiago Alcantara is competing against the likes abo Xavi, Inniesta and Cesc but he is given a chance. We won 4 nil against Leopards, why not give 1 or 2 yousters 5-10 minutes in that game.
You got soccer brains and you do use 'em sparingly, continue to eat what you ate for breakfast today 'cos it's good for your thinking kwakwa.
I support what you just said and really nomater how things are, this guys needs to be introduced gradually to the senior sides just like what VV did last season to ze Cheriff.
Let's develop and use, lest we throw away that which is more precious than shinning stones.
We cannot rely on 25 to 30 yr old players everytime , what's the use of development then if we still gonna be chasing aboKhama Billiat, Kalaba everytime we need re-inforce our teams.
Last year I've noticed Liverpool and even though they're struggling but they started introducing their youngsters to the EPL and right now their youngster Raheem Sterling 17yr is also playing for their national team.
You watch Bundesliga and you'll see the same method these clubs like Borrusia Dortmund, Bayern Munich are using and they have youngsters not warming the bench but playing and they're doing very well.
Chiefs had 5 youngsters promoted by Dr Khumalo , and what happened to those boys they were loaned to other teams...I remember one of them his surname is Sitayitayi , Tshegofatso Ramabu ...
I don't know where are those boys now .....
Another Formula 1 Deal
Your Chaiman akasavukelwa thats Y you dont have these benefits
If that is included in their mandates , then we gonna start seeing more youth in our TOP LEAGUE and from all the 16 PSL teams .
If the team/coach didn't field a youngster for a maximum of 4-5 games then , the club must be penalised for a minimum of R100 000 and that money must be invested again to the provisional development structures/ those soccer academies.
That will also give Gordon Ingesund a breath of fresh air in terms of selecting Bafana Bafana players,
We(fans) also can stop complaining when Katlego Mphela,Shabba,Yeye,KG,Masilela, Tlou Segoelela,Diane Klate,Andile Jali are included or excluded in the national team.
This will exposed our talent and we can have more of our players going to competitive leagues in Europe and we all know the benefit of having more youth players being exposed internationally
