Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is so wary of the Cape Verde Islands quarterfinal threat that he has said he would 'prefer' to face Nations Cup favourites Ivory Coast on Saturday.
"I would have preferred a game against Ivory Coast than against Cape Verde because Cape Verde have nothing to lose on Saturday," Appiah told reporters in Port Elizabeth.

"They will play without any pressure and they are a very physical side, meaning we have to prepare ourselves very well to match them," he said.
"I respect them and we cannot afford to underrate them."
The last time that Ghana played the Islanders was in November 2012 in a warm-up match where Ghana won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Wakaso Mubarak.
