Phumelele Bhengu not fit enough to play at Chippa United
Posted: 30 January 2013
Two weeks ago Phumelele Bhengu signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Chippa United, but KickOff.com can today confirm that the player is now deemed surplus to requirements.
The former Under-23 international’s joy at finally finding a club could be short-lived after he was told “he is not fit enough” to help Chippa fight off the dreaded relegation axe.

“Without playing a game, Chippa says he must go on loan because he won’t be able to help them since he doesn’t have match fitness. Where have you ever heard of such nonsense?” our source says.
Bhengu’s representatives, Complete Footballers, will have a meeting with the player to address the matter.
Chippa’s spokesperson Lukanyo Mzinzi was not immediately available for comment.
It's been a busy few days at Chippa, who sacked coach Farouk Abrahams and brought in Wilfred Mugeyi, while also signing Stanton Lewis and Mbulelo Mabizela.
