Nigeria moved into the next round of the competition after two late goals from Victor Moses helped the Super Eagles overcome a stubborn Ethiopian side, to finish second in Group C behind Burkina Faso and set up a quarter-final date with last year's losing finalists Ivory Coast.

Keshi has now moved to assure Nigerian fans that there is nothing to worry about, as he is confident in the abilities of his players to stem the tide against the star-studded Ivorian team.
"It is a different ball game. I respect the Ivoirians but we will approach the game with a different mentality than what we produced against Ethiopia and other group opponents,” Keshi said.
"I know you guys are worried about Ivory Coast and I don't know why. The Ivorians have a good team and we have a good team too. It is going to be a game of eleven players on each side. Ivory Coast is Ivory Coast and Nigeria is Nigeria, so anything can happen when we meet but I am sure we won't disappoint," he says.
The Super Eagles coach also stated that he has already started to strategise on how his team will play against the Ivorians.
"Now we face title favourites Ivory Coast. I have a game plan but that is for the players (not journalists)," he adds.

Conversation between Keshi and his players at the change room:
Keshi: "Now listen up guys, here is my plan...Moses, when you get to their 18 area you must dive again like you did against Ethiopia, and the referee will blow for a penalty; dont worry about anything, I've already given him his half of 1million naira and he's gonna get the balance after the match\".
Ugo: "But coach, what about Drogba, that guy is very dangerous?\".
Keshi:\"Dont worry about that one, you must just hack him...the 1 million naira payment includes his hacking\".
Enyeama: "What about Kolo Toure, coach?...that man kicks powerful shots..\"
Keshi:\"Geez! can you guys relax!....listen here, just hack anything that moves in an orange shirt...the 1 million naira will work for us; go ask the referee of our game against Ethiopia!, so shut up and get on with our game plan OR are you trying to get Siasia back? \"
The writting is on the wall unless one is blind or high on mandrax.
SIASIA IS STILL THE BEST !!!
Lets not deceive ourselves here okay. Ivory coast will be very difficult match. For sure!
DON'T THINK IT WAS KESHI THAT WON THE GAME, PLS IT WAS ONLY THE HARD WORK OF THE BOYS AND THE ZEAL OF ONE INDIVIDUAL. I CANT STAKE MY MONEY ON THIS TEAM SO I DONT HAVE HEART ATTACK BUT ALL THE SAME IT IS MY COUNTRY SO I WISH THEM GOOD LUCK AGAIN SUPER EAGLES IN YOUR NEXT MATCH.
Proudly South African....
To be honest is not the best advise to be firing coaches but the problem with the NFF is they do not have a sound technical department or they are too corrupt. Tell me what are the perimeter used in hiring coaches for SE. Keshi is not a good coach throught out our group stage matches you can see there is no technicality in Nigeria games not to talk of the team selection or substitution. Please is high time we need to tell ourselves the truth . We need a good sound foreign coach that under Africa football. NFF has failed us all with their decision on selecting coaches for the national team
