Smith: All fine after Benni fight

Norman Smith confirms fight with Benni McCarthy

Golden Arrows striker Norman Smith says he bears no grudges against Orlando Pirates’ Benni McCarthy after they came to blows during a practice match at Rand Stadium yesterday.

The duo had to be separated by their teammates and officials after some punches were exchanged, with one of the players at the game telling KickOff.com "it was a nasty incident".

Smith confirms the scuffle with McCarthy, but insists all is fine now.

“It was in the line of duty. It happens in football, but it was nothing serious,” he tells KickOff.com.

“We didn't speak afterwards but there are no hard feelings,” adds Smith, whose day got worse after he suffered a calf injury.

He undermines local players of every colour. The problem is that coloured players don't allow him to intimidate them. Why did not behave like that when he was in Portugal and the UK? Because he got money, he thinks he has the right to behave the way he is. I am sure all Rats players are scared of him.
