De Sa not interested in DRC striker

Orlando Pirates will not be signing DR Congo striker Garry Apiso

There are strong indications that Orlando Pirates will not be signing DR Congo striker Garry Apiso who has been on trials.

There has been speculation that the Sea Robbers would swoop on the striker as they look to bolster their ranks ahead of the resumption of the League title chase and the 2013 CAF Champions League.

But in a chat with KickOff.com, Pirates coach Roger de Sa expressed his reservations about Apiso, who was once on the books DRC giants TP Mazembe.

"He [Apiso] has not been scoring in the practice matches that we have been playing," De Sa says.

Asked whether or not Pirates would sign the striker, De Sa responds: "No. Nothing of that sort is likely to happen."

De Sa has been on the prowl for a striker since the transfer window opened as there is increasing uncertainty over Benni McCarthy's willingness to extend his stay with the Sea Robbers.

If our strikers don't score goals anymore, we will rely on Siya Sangweni just like our National team

He carries the hopes of 48m + plus people alone....what would the nation be without Siya?

Let him go to our neighbours next door since they are good in grabbing our rejects.

We have players who can score regardless of their positions.Sangweni is a clear proof of that. Fact, Sangweni is among the top scorers in the top goal scorer chats in the AFCON 2013 and top scorer for BB and way above the chiefs players combines, including MajoCowro.

So for me if Sangweni can score at that level why can't he dominate in the PSL?

This DRC striker can go get guaranteed game time at Bulawayo Chiefs, thats where players sign for game time time. He was not even in the DRC squad so what makes him think he can play for the Home Of Champions.

We will rather not sign anyone coz Sangweni is proving that he can play alone.

FACT : Sangweni > Majoro + 75 caps flop + Parcow + Gorilla + Mnzanzi's Funniest + Grand-Pa + Masilecow
