Team effort was key, says Enyeama

Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama came up with two big saves to help Nigeria keep a first clean sheet of the Nations Cup

Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama came up with two big saves to help Nigeria keep a first clean sheet of the Nations Cup and secure a first win at the Nations Cup.

But the goalkeeper was not keen to take any credit.

"It was a team effort. Moses was great upfront. The midfielders did a great job and it was because of teh defence that I didnt have too much to do in the game.

"So I can't say it was because of the saves that I made. The whole team played their part and at the end, we all take credit together."

Nigeria next face Cote d'Ivoire in the quarterfinals, but Enyeama refuses to think that far

"We are in the quarterfinals, let's just enjoy this moment of victory for now. There'll be plenty of time to think about Ivory Coast from tomorrow."

Team effort my foot. Uche, the same Uche I was calling Nigeria's best striker before the tournament started is playing rubbish. Musa my favorite player is playing rubbish. I did not watch the match live but I did not know the result before I watched it. After 70 minutes and no goals my heart was racing and I could not take it anymore. I was vexed and I came to kickoff to check the scores.

That is what I call heart attack Football. I cannot watch these boys.

Congratulations Mr Keshi for the qualifications into the quarter finals.just to make sure that we beat ivory coast please play ogenyi onazi as your box to box midfielder his job will be to make sure that yaya toure does not posses the ball and when we break up into attack because of the fast attackers that we have he has the strength to join the attack and also the strength to cover up for the defenders if ivory coast should have a counter attack because ivery coast are not so fast in the midfilder...thx your fan.

@Naijabros sorry for your heart attack condition, is part of the game.Next game will be different because there will be greater pressure on the Ivorians than our SE.I see us beating Cote Dvoire, keshi should work on his defence and pack the mid field and finally allow emenike as our lone striker for the first half.Second half , brown should be brought to strenthen the attack. We must not allow Ivory coast to score first and we should get a match reader to analyse Ivory coast past matches in order to marshal them well and get a victory. We will win if all things a taken care off.
