Mngomezulu hasn't played any competitive football so far this season as Wits had 'parked' him aside honouring his contract even though he wasn't training with the club over the last six months due to the fact that he wasn't in the plans when Antonio Lopez Habas was still in charge.
The 30 year-old is already sweating it out with the rest of the Wits first team and will continue to do so after interest – believed to have been from AmaZulu and University of Pretoria – was turned down.
"Based on the situation that Mngomezulu had been in over the last few months we had sought opportunities for him but when we went to the club (Wits) last week they indicated to us that they are not willing to let him go.
"He has a running contract with the club and will stay on for its duration," says Alban Newman of ProSport International, the agency representing Mngomezulu.
Mngomezulu appears to have made an impression on new coach Clive Barker and will now be available for selection when the league resumes in February.

The 30-year-old will see his current deal run out at the end of the campaign and word reaching the Siya crew is that his contract will not be being renewed by the club.
Mngomezulu returned to the club under their coach, Clive Barker, who has now recommended that he should look into the possibility of joining the coach’s former employer, AmaZulu.
It is thought that the player’s age is the main thing counting against him with regards to his Clever Boys career as the club look to build a team that will challenge for silverware in the future.
