AmaZulu have given striker Siyabonga Vilane and Congolese defender Belux Bukasa Kasonga permission to attend trials in Thailand.
Bukasa Kasonga hasn’t played for Usuthu so far as he has been waiting for the issuing of his permanent residency permit that he applied for at the beginning of the season that will allow him to be registered as a non-foreigner.
The club has confirmed that the two players have been allowed to attend the trials in Thailand which are being facilitated by Ali Tlhoaele – the players’ agent.
"They are already on their way to Thailand as we speak and will be attending trials with different clubs there," says Tlhoaele.
Bukasa Kasonga cannot be registered as a foreigner anymore for this season as the club has already exhausted its foreign quota with Tapuwa Kapini, Carlington Nyadombo, Ramson Zhuwawo, Mkhokheli Dube and Dulee Johnson taking up the five spots allocated to foreigners in every team.
Last season Bukasa Kasonga formed a strong central defence pairing with Carlington Nyadombo that saw Usuthu finish with the fourth best defensive record in the League conceding 24 goals all season but with just under a quarter of the season played this year the team has let in 15 goals already.
Also attending the trials in Thailand is former Golden Arrows striker Lindokuhle Bengu who last played for Chippa United last season.
