Double injury blow for Bafana: Kagisho Dikgacoi and Lerato Chabangu

Gordon Igesund has revealed two players are ruled out of Bafana Bafana's must-win Africa Cup of Nations clash against Angola.

Igesund says he will not be able to field Lerato Chabangu and Kagisho Dikgacoi in any capacity during Wednesday night’s encounter.

“I have two players that will not be involved at all and that is Lerato and ‘KG.’ It is very unfortunate that they are injured, but we have enough depth in the squad to deal with their absence,” Igesund says.

“It’s never nice to see players injured, especially during a long tournament where everyone in your 23-man squad is vital.”

Chabangu has been dealing with a groin strain, while Dikgacoi’s knee has swelled up again.

Their absence could see the coach field Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Dean Furman in the centre of the park against Angola.

It's not always nice when a player gets injured. Sorry guys but honestly KGs injury is a blessing in disguise.

KG's injury is a blessing in disguise for Bafana, wish Shabba was on the list, I'm not hating on the boy, I just want a player that will fight 150% on the field.

People were busy making so much noise about the bafana draw. Especially rats fans , there are no small teams in africa anymore. Look at the number of draws all these teams have played. Chiefs is not and cannot be Bafana Bafana. More than 30 players were called in for the preliminary squad , only the best made the cut. So you can fart the whole day about bafana selections , there isn't much you can do with your grade 12 and average analytical mind.

I think I agree with you, KG can't be a cow but a Gorilla(very useless).
