Sigwili captained Usuthu in the 2006/07 season when the club had in their ranks the likes of John ‘Shoes’ Moshoeu and Bennett Chenene. He started 19 games in all competitions that season, but he was later released.
Ex-PSL striker Ishmael Maluleke, who played with Sigwili at AmaZulu, otherwise known as Zulu Royals at the time and Nathi Lions, described the latter as a humble person.
“He was a good person… He was a really good person. May his soul rest in peace,” Maluleke tells KickOff.com.
Sigwili, who was 37 at the time of death, also played for Maritzburg City and Premier United.
