Danny Venter signs for Free State Stars

Following the signing of Fikru Tefera early last week, Free State Stars have put pen to paper with former Bloemfontein Celtic player Danny Venter.

“I am excited that I have signed for Ea Lla Koto, they are a fantastic team and they play my kind of football. and I have no doubt that I will enjoy my best football in this team,” the 25-year-old told the club’s official website.

“I am not here to add numbers, the team is currently sitting in a respectable position – fourth – and breaking into the team will not be easy for me but I will work hard to get game-time.”

Venter is the third player this season to join Stars from their arch rivals in the Free State, the others being Angelo Kurspey and Luyanda Hlongwa, who was released by the club at the end of last year and was last training at AmaZulu.
