Ntuli impresses De Sa

Orlando Pirates development player Nhlakanipho 'Nanana' Ntuli could play for the senior team soon

Orlando Pirates youngster Nhlakanipho 'Nanana' Ntuli could play for the senior team if he continues to impress coach Roger de Sa at training.

The midfielder, who attended trials with FC Twente last year, is training with Pirates’ senior team and was in action in the 3-0 Reserve League win against Bidvest Wits yesterday.

De Sa says he has been happy with Ntuli at training.

"So far, so good. He looks promising at training. We are looking at him and will give him another two days to see if he continues to impress," De Sa tells KickOff.com.

Ntuli says he is very excited to be training with Bucs' senior team.

"It was nice to get game-time against Wits yesterday and I was happy to have played the full 90 minutes.

"I am set to return to Holland next month, but maybe I will play for Pirates this season."

Bucs have also handed Zimbabwean midfielder Ronald 'Rooney' Chitiyo and another defender from Harare a trial.

"We will continue to assess the Zimbabwean players in a friendly tomorrow and on Monday will make a decision on whether to sign them or not,” De Sa adds.

wena I told you that you are just a rubber neck oxygen thief who deserves nothing but jail. Are you trying to tell us that Ksnr & Mjomana were part of Pirates development academy before? Kanti when was this corrupt academy established? Lets learn to think with our brains instead of our hearts rubber neck.

Now, this bring a huge smile to my face, to a south african player coming up through the development and breaking into the first team of the Biggest club in Africa. That's what I will like to see more often it don't matter whether it is my club that's developing these youngstars, I really appreciate when these young players are really being developed even though I have to admit it's sweeter knowing that it is my club that really develops them . and I wish we could seen more of them. I still remember when Da gama field'd 100% proudly south african team and won the match by 3 goals. And I still remember when Kaizer Chiefs were in hot water for field'ing 6 zim players and 1 from malawi
