Ntuli impresses De Sa

Orlando Pirates development player Nhlakanipho 'Nanana' Ntuli could play for the senior team soon

Posted: 18 January 2013 Time: 1:19 pm

Orlando Pirates youngster Nhlakanipho 'Nanana' Ntuli could play for the senior team if he continues to impress coach Roger de Sa at training.

The midfielder, who attended trials with FC Twente last year, is training with Pirates’ senior team and was in action in the 3-0 Reserve League win against Bidvest Wits yesterday.

De Sa says he has been happy with Ntuli at training.

"So far, so good. He looks promising at training. We are looking at him and will give him another two days to see if he continues to impress," De Sa tells KickOff.com.

Ntuli says he is very excited to be training with Bucs' senior team.

"It was nice to get game-time against Wits yesterday and I was happy to have played the full 90 minutes.

"I am set to return to Holland next month, but maybe I will play for Pirates this season."

Bucs have also handed Zimbabwean midfielder Ronald 'Rooney' Chitiyo and another defender from Harare a trial.

"We will continue to assess the Zimbabwean players in a friendly tomorrow and on Monday will make a decision on whether to sign them or not,” De Sa adds.

Now that they have failed signing Rainford Kalaba who has been signing with them since 01 January 2013, they have resorted to either crossing the Beit Bridge following Bobby Motaung or signing their so called development players

I saw this boy at Pimville Nike Training Centre,he is a very skillful player that takes defenders on,in the mould of Steve Lekoelea and Cheeseboy during their days at Pirates i would be happy if RDS can give him a chance in the senior side.

Tico MP,

Masalesa is still very much a Buccerneer, I hear rumours that he is headed to Sundowns in a swap deal for Manqele. I would hate to lose Masalesa.....Manqele wont make it at Pirates.

@Tico MP,

We know in the minds of the kaizer chimpanzees, All Bucs players are very old and all Kaizer Chimpanzees are very young players. Kaizer Jnr is a 20 yr old sensational striker. Funny enough the very old Bucs players made history by clinching 2 trebles in a row right in front of the young energetic chimps. What does that mean? Chimps cant play soccer!
