Reds boss slams diving Suarez

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers slams diving Luis Suarez

Posted: 18 January 2013 Time: 06:36 am

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has slammed star striker Luis Suarez following the player’s admission that he dived to win a penalty.

The Uruguayan international made the claims in an interview with Fox Sports Argentina, saying he went down in the box in the match against Stoke in October with the view of conning the referee.

Suarez has for long come under fire for his antics, with Rodgers always defending his player, but the latest admission has left the Northern Irishman fuming.

“It's unacceptable. I've spoken to Luis and it will be dealt with internally,” Rodgers says. “Diving is not something we advocate. Our ethics are correct.

“He has been totally understanding on where I am coming from as manager of the club. This is a big club and, whatever people do say goes around the world, and what was said was wrong and not acceptable. There is no-one bigger than the club or the club's image.”

Liverpool face Norwich tomorrow, and it will be interesting to see whether Rodgers drops the striker, or allows him to continue his impressive form against the Canaries.

Against SA: he tripped himself on Khune's left foot & dived thus earning a penalty with Khune redcarded.

Against Ghana: denied ama Black Stars a goal in th dyin minutes of the game when he used his hand to stop the ball from goin in.

Against Man U: racially abused Patrice Evra.

Against Man U: refused to shake Evra's hand pending the racism stunt he had with him.

Against Everton: scored a goal & went on to dive in front of David Moyes, a sign of disrespect after Moyes had complained about Suares' diving tendencies earlier on.

Against English 3rd tier side(FA): scored a goal with his hand thus sending Liverpool to the next round.

Against Stoke: dived inside the box &earned Liverpool a penalty that contributed to their win.

Conclusion. Though talented, Suarez lacks good sportsmanship,is racist &most certainly get away with bad things he does. Imean can't he use this great talent he has to achieve something &stop this nonsensical stuff he does? Nx i ### hate this rabbit with passion.

Oh come on now, who doesn't dive Messi, Drogba, Ronaldo, Van persie, Walcot, Aguero, Tevez ..... the list goes on, they all dive , the racist part was bad but for the hand ball against Ghana he saved his team from elimination and take them to the semis hated by us praised by uraguayans , same with the penalty against kuhne after all he's playing for Uraguay not Black stars or Bafana without those incidents they wouldn't have made it to the semis .... credit him for that .... in UK he,s always in the front page bcz he's story sells the papers. Love him or hate him controvercial but Effective , all LVC fans love him * you'll never walk alone * they sing for him........
