Mutuma was cleared by his club over the weekend, and is in Bloemfontein being put through his paces with Phunya Sele Sele.
Coach Clinton Larsen says he has not had the opportunity to look at the player properly yet, because the team just started training this week and is currently focussing on getting their fitness back.
“He’s only started training on Monday so in terms of looking at him play we haven’t had a chance,” Larsen tells KickOff.com.
“We will look at him tomorrow and Saturday because we have been doing a lot of fitness and conditioning, but he’s in good shape. We are going to look at his football ability now.”
Celtic will welcome more trialists at the weekend, as they look to add to their numbers and push up the Premiership table.
“We are expecting one or two more players to arrive in the country this weekend and by Monday I’ll able to tell you more,” the coach says.
