A new coach has meant new fortunes for Erwin Isaacs as Bidvest Wits now insist the player is no longer for sale.
The former Santos winger was deemed surplus to requirements under former coach Antonio Lopez Habas, with Chippa United reportedly on the verge of signing the player, but the arrival of Clive Barker following the Spaniard’s dismissal has changed things.
Wits CEO Jose Ferreira confirms that Barker has told him that Isaacs was part of his plans, and also insists that they will not be selling Mzikayise Mashaba, who has attracted interest from Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Isaacs is staying with the club,” Ferreira tells KickOff.com. “There was also interest in Mashaba from Sundowns, but he is not for sale.”
