Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune: Mark my words we will succeed at Africa Cup of Nations

Posted: 14 January 2013 Time: 04:37 pm

Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is in a bullish mood ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bafana Bafana returned to training on Monday morning after enjoying a much-needed day off on Sunday, following their international friendly against Algeria on Saturday evening at Orlando Stadium.

The players were back at the same venue where they are putting the final touches on their preparations before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on Saturday.

Khune says the players are in high spirits ahead of the start of the tournament.

“We have to be excited. This is a very crucial week for us and we have to ensure that our preparations run smoothly so that we are ready for the opening match,” he says.

“The experience of playing in the 2009 Confederations Cup and the 2010 World Cup, both on home soil, should come in handy for Bafana Bafana in this tournament. We have all been working hard and, mark my words, we will do well.

“We are not feeling any strain, even though pressure is always there whether you are winning or losing; ours is just to focus on the 90 minutes, win our first game and take it from there. I believe with the backing of the nation we will succeed.”

heheheheheh he thinks that black concoction they use at Chiefs will help them.

Since Minihle Dlamini broke this oke's virginity in 2011 he is no more the spider boy we knew. Yes i say it, in his 36 years of existence, Khune only visited the place between the legs of a woman in 2011. All this other 33 years or so guys like Nengomasha, Shweshwe, Zvasiya, and Katsande have been visiting his tiny back behind.
