Knowledge Musona in hot water with German club FC Augsburg

Posted: 13 January 2013 Time: 05:17 pm

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is already in the bad books of new FC Augsburg coach, Markus Weinzierl.

The Zimbabwean forward has been suspended by the German Bundesliga club after reporting late for training.

Weinzierl – who has reportedly lost patience with the level of indiscipline among some of his players – also suspended Gambian attacking midfielder Dawda Bah, according to reports from Germany.

German newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine reports that Musona and Bah were suspended for reporting late to training at the team's current base in Turkey where the club is holding a winter break training camp.

Moroccan goalkeeper Mohamed Amsif was slapped with a two-week suspension after he was late for a fitness test.

"Coming to training late is not acceptable. In the first half of the season, the players were fined but now we want to try other measures," Weinzierl tells the newspaper.

FC Augsburg are on the brink of being relegated and the new coach hopes his tough methods will help to turn around the fortunes of the club.

@rivubye i think maybe u misunderstood me....psl has got money but the quality on the pitch is below par it atract other african players only for the money ...though they have money psl cant compete wth europe...e.g siyanda xulu was earning a decent salary of R60,000 amonth @downs now he is getting R520,000pm.....salaries in other african countries are low

I don't what is really happened to these people nowadays, why they always underrated everything about our country. Firstly it was our players secondly Baf Baf now is our pitch and our money is low when you compare with African countries.

I said let these lost citizens follow their original homeland and fok off here in our land.
