Burkina Faso coach Paul Put has announced his 23-man Africa Cup of Nations squad

Burkina Faso coach Paul Put has announced his 23-man squad, made up of foreign-based players, for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Goalkeeper Abdoul Ouattara, defenders Bakary Soro, Soumaila Belem and Aboubacar Zerbo, and midfielder Salif Dianda were omitted from the final squad.

There will be no representatives from the countries local League in the squad leaving for South Africa.

The Stallions are in Group C with Zambia, Nigeria and Ethiopia and will face Nigeria on January 21 at Mbombela Stadium.

It would have been unusual for Burkina Faso not to have a player named Coulibaly. As far as I can remember, they've always had a Coulibaly in the team and a thousand others in the stands.

This is one of the teams that can only win Afcon by height and muscles not by playing football.

At least their foreign based players are playing competitive football in France and elsewhere. While our cows are struggling to make the starting 11 in 2nd/3rd/4th leagues in England, Greece, Albania, China etc.
Roger De Sa is not Pirates Material and pliz can yu return Mr Ruud Krol to the Technical department

Ghana and Ivory coast doesn't have local based player same to Cameroon and Senegal if my memory serve me very well.
