KickOff.com understands that besides targeting Benni McCarthy, who has hit the transfer headlines recently, Ajax have also lined up some other experienced players.
CEO George Comitis said recently that the club will go into the market to strengthen their squad and now the plans are underway.
McCarthy has been heavily linked with a move to Ajax. He is yet to tie down his future at Orlando Pirates and says that he wants to end his career in Cape Town.
It is now understood that Ajax have also looked towards former midfielder Lance Davids and former striker Mabhuti Khenyeza.
Davids has not enjoyed much game time in Belgium of late and last time out at Ajax he was superb in the red and white.
Khenyeza, meanwhile, is not always a regular at SuperSport United and a link back to Cape Town is on the cards.
It is understood that there is potential for the players to move to Ajax and that the player agents and clubs are already engaged with Ajax.

There were NO records kept till 1970
The township tournaments that Kaizer and Chippa Moloi won with US are not recorded in History
