Monomotapa midfielder Ronald ‘Rooney’ Chitiyo left Harare for South Africa this morning for trials at SuperSport, and is also likely to be assessed by Pirates and Celtic. The player has been cleared by his club as reported last week.

Dynamos striker Rodreck Mutuma, also at Tamba Sports Management, will undergo trials at Celtic after being cleared by his club over the weekend.

Another Dynamos striker, Simba Sithole, who was previously on Sundowns' books, is scheduled to make the trip to South Africa this week for trials at SuperSport.

Former Pirates captain Lehlohonolo Seema is back with Celtic; he has been hired as chief scout for Phunya Sele Sele. Shupi Nkgadima has replaced Felix Mokoena as marketing manager.

Friday, January 11

Manqoba Mngqithi wants to bring Hlompho Kekana and Edward Manqele to Arrows in a swap deal involving Thanduyise Khuboni.

Khuboni’s contract expires in June and he told KickOff.com he needs “new challenges”. He has been linked to Chiefs and Sundowns.

On the other hand, rumours are also doing the rounds that Pirates and Sundowns could be involved in a swap deal that could see Lehlogonolo Masalesa going to Chloorkop in exchange with Manqele.

This despite the fact that Pitso Mosimane hinted he would keep Manqele at Chloorkop. 

AmaZulu are considering offloading striker Sifiso Vilakazi.

SuperSport are reportedly still considering signing former Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari.

Swallows have invited defender Thabiso Ntombela for trials, while Vusi Madinane and Sihle Ndaba from Malanti Chiefs in Swaziland are also expected to arrive soon for trials.

Chippa have recalled striker Joshua Sauls from Platinum Stars.

Former Pirates midfielder Josephy Kamwendo has attracted interest from First Division rookies Roses United.

FC Cape Town have signed Jimmy Zakazaka from Thanda Royal Zulu.

Serbian coach Vladislav Heric has joined FC Cape Town just under a month after dumping fellow First Division campaigners Polokwane City.

Ethiopian striker Fikru Tefera has signed for Free State Stars following the expiry of his contract at Vietnam Super League club Thanh Hoa. More here!

Former Mpumalanga Black Aces and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sandile Zuke is keen on making a return to domestic football after a season playing for Thailand Premier League club Osotspa Saraburi.

Contrary to reports, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Lionel Mutizwa and Buhle Mkhwananzi will stay on loan at University of Pretoria until the end of the season.
