Mamelodi Sundowns, Free State Stars, Orlando Pirates all want to sign Mothusi Gopane

Orlando Pirates, Free State Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns are preparing to battle for the signature of 20-year-old Polokwane City midfielder Mothusi Gopane.

Gopane put is a superb performance at the Philly's Games tournament held in Tembisa recently.

The midfielder, who operates on both the left and right flanks, turned out for Tembisa Zone 14 – along with Mthokozisi Yende – and was named Player of the Tournament.

His solid showing was enough to impress Ea Lla Koto coach Steve Komphela, who was among the keen spectators at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa yesterday.

Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com, Gopane confirms that he has been approached by the three teams.

“It was a great honour to be named the Player of the Tournament, and it was the first time I won such a trophy in my soccer career,” the North West-born midfielder tells KickOff.com.

“I have been approached by Free State Stars, Pirates and Sundowns. I still have to chill out and make the right decision because I want to go to a team where I am going to play rather than sit on the bench.”

Don't believe the hype... no one is Tembisa is chanting his name so he is not what they say he is.... infact for the past half-a-decade or so The Philly's games have just been producing robots....

If you're looking for a game time then FSS is where you must go boy because at Pirates they'll sign you send you on loan to NFD and at Sundowns you won't stand a chance competing with the likes of Pelembe,Laffor,Cheeseboy etc

another young peospects future headed for disaster, pirates and sundowns want to be buy the playa then ditch him on the bench. he should be clever enough to join FFS, there's no rush he's got age on his side.

No ntwana, you are not a Orlando Pirates material.... If you said u are looking to win things, then I was gonna say that you joining the champs. You need a team where you will play, join FSS or Sundowns...

I had the privilege of watching this young man..
Believe you me,he's one for the future.
But he should go to FSS for a season and join a bigger team(PIRATES), when Myeni goes overseas.
His combination with Nomandela @ FSS will be perfect.
Pity we dont have the National U/23 team anymore!
